In Chapter 6, we examine effectuation. It is a logic of thinking used by sometimes expert entrepreneurs who have built successful ventures. More importantly it can be used by your everyday problem solver to think entrepreneurially in the face of adversity. Saras Sarasvathy, professor at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, sums it up in a simple phrase: ‘do what you can with what you have’.
